In the decade since its founding, the Journalism & Media Studies Centre at Hong Kong University has become one of the top-ranked journalism schools in the world. Its bachelor’s and master’s of journalism prgrammes have graduated more than 500 students from more than 20 countries. Its alumni network spans the continents, with graduates at newspapers, television news organizations, wire services, online news outlets, the financial services industry and government. The mission of JMSC is to pursue excellence in journalism and foster Asian voices in the international media. JMSC has a long association with SOPA, and JMSC faculty members have served as SOPA head judge since 2004.
